TapMyCar is operated by Praman Tech LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("TapMyCar," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the service.
TapMyCar provides physical and digital tags (NFC + QR stickers or printable eTags) that let strangers reach you privately through our masked-calling system. When someone scans your tag, they can place a voice call to you without ever seeing your real phone number. You can screen every call before answering.
To use TapMyCar, you must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract, and you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure. You agree not to share your account with others.
Always confirm a tag is genuine using the Verify feature — it checks that the tag is a registered TapMyCar tag. If a tag does not verify, treat it with caution and do not rely on it. The Verify feature confirms only that a tag is a registered TapMyCar tag; it is not a guarantee of any person’s identity or intentions. Use normal caution when contacting or meeting anyone.
You agree not to use TapMyCar for harassment, stalking, spam, fraud, or illegal purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that abuses the service, with or without notice.
When someone scans your tag, we ask them to identify themselves before connecting the call. We log scans to help you know when and where your car was contacted. Scanners see a privacy notice explaining that we do not share your personal information with them.
TapMyCar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that masked calls will always connect. We are not a substitute for emergency services (911 or your local emergency number).
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of TapMyCar is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
You agree to defend and indemnify Praman Tech LLC (operating as TapMyCar) from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut.
We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or a prominent in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
You can close your account at any time from the Settings page. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your tags are disabled and your subscription is cancelled.
Physical stickers ship within 2-3 business days within the United States. Delivery typically takes 3-7 business days. We do not currently ship internationally. If your sticker does not arrive within 14 days, email us and we'll ship a replacement.
Premium users may optionally designate an emergency contact who receives calls if you don't answer within 3 rings. The emergency contact must consent to this arrangement. We are not responsible for failure of the emergency-contact system in any specific situation.
When you refer a friend who signs up and purchases a paid plan, you earn rewards (currently $3 credit for the first referral, and a "choice reward" — free plan year or $4.99 coupon — for additional referrals). Abuse of the referral system (fake accounts, self-referrals, spam) results in forfeiture of rewards.
TapMyCar uses reputable third-party service providers for payment processing, email delivery, call routing, and cloud infrastructure. By using TapMyCar, you also consent to the terms of these providers where applicable. Specific provider names are available upon written request to support@tapmycar.io.
